Sample Life Policy
Policyholder: You
Policy Iris is being built to help you organise and understand Indian life insurance policies — without getting lost in dense policy documents, unfamiliar terms, or scattered family records.
Policyholder: You
Policyholder: Family member
In plain English: Policy Iris turns key clauses and fields into a simpler view, while keeping the original document as the source of truth.
Illustrative product preview. Actual beta features and interface may evolve.
Policy Iris is designed around the questions people actually have after buying life insurance: What do I have? Who is covered? What am I paying? What does the policy say? Where are my family's policies kept?
Choose whether it is your policy, a family policy, someone else's document, or a sample — and whether you want it added to your dashboard or analysed only.
Policy Iris keeps the account owner, policyholder/proposer and life assured distinct, so family documents are not silently treated as your own.
Review important policy details in a structured, plain-language view. Material extracted fields are presented for confirmation rather than assumed correct.
Organise policies, track nominee information and reminders, ask questions about the document, and request expert help when human review is needed.
The first beta is deliberately narrow. We want to get policy organisation, document understanding and safe handling right before adding more advanced financial tools.
A private repository for the life policies you choose to add to your dashboard.
A structured view of important policy details, translated into easier language.
Bring nominee information out of the fine print so it is easier to review and organise.
Keep important policy-related dates visible instead of relying on scattered paperwork.
Ask questions about the policy document and get plain-language, document-grounded explanations.
Flag situations where you want a qualified human to review the policy with you.
Policy Iris is being developed with a security-first rollout. The founder beta will not open real-document uploads until the required security controls and testing gates are completed.
Clear ownership
“My policy”, family policy and analyse-only documents are handled differently.
Minimum necessary data
Sensitive document contents should not be copied into logs, prompts or analytics unnecessarily.
Human verification
Important extracted fields are shown for review rather than presented as unquestionable fact.
Honest boundaries
Policy Iris helps you understand documents; it does not replace insurer records or professional advice.
Return calculations/IRR, tax analysis, surrender modelling, personalised product recommendations and payments are not part of the initial founder beta. These capabilities need separate validation before they can be responsibly introduced.
We're starting with a small invited group in India. Early users will help us test whether Policy Iris makes real policy documents easier to organise and understand.
Policy Iris is being built as an insurance-policy understanding and organisation platform for Indian individual life insurance. The founder beta focuses first on traditional savings-oriented life policies such as endowment and money-back products.
No. Policy Iris is not an insurer and the initial beta is not a product recommendation, solicitation or transaction service. Its purpose is to help users organise and understand policy documents.
The product is being designed to distinguish your own policy, a family policy, someone else's document and a sample. Family/third-party documents require appropriate permission and can be handled separately from your own portfolio.
Not in the initial founder beta. IRR/return calculations, surrender modelling, tax analysis and personalised recommendations are intentionally excluded until those capabilities are separately validated.
Not through this early-access website. We are opening founder access in stages, and real-document upload will only be enabled after the required security controls and testing gates are completed.
No. Your policy document and official insurer records remain the authoritative sources. Policy Iris may help extract and explain information, but important fields should be reviewed and confirmed before you rely on them.
